The jury-curated exhibition ERNTE is a nationally renowned forum for contemporary art in Schaffhausen. It gives artists with ties to Schaffhausen the opportunity to present their latest works to a broad audience. The exhibition takes place every two years and was established in Schaffhausen in 1938. The works are selected from among the submissions by a five-person jury.

The annual exhibition offers a look at current works by artists with ties to Schaffhausen. Once again this year, the opening of ERNTE will also feature the presentation of the ERNTE Art Prize from Mobiliar in recognition of a work featured in the exhibition. The prize includes a cash grant of 10,000 Swiss francs and is sponsored by Schweizerische Mobiliar Versicherung, Generalagentur Schaffhausen, Philipp Früh.
