Temporary Exhibition

A large part of the estate of over 2000 drawings by the Schaffhausen cartoonist Hansjörg Schweizer has entered the collection of prints and drawings at the Museum zu Allerheiligen, and an exhibition is being mounted to mark this fortunate occasion. The show will breathe new life into Schweizer’s work, which was a weekly highlight for readers of the local newspaper for more than forty years.

Hansjörg Schweizer’s “messages” composed of concise strokes, which affectionately and often pointedly put the entire spectrum of the human condition on paper, present a wide range of themes. All this and his palpable enjoyment of drawing remain fascinating today.
